I’m a licensed therapist providing trauma-informed, culturally sensitive counseling for adults navigating life’s challenges, including domestic violence, relational trauma, substance use recovery, and major life transitions. My passion for mental health stems from my own experiences living and working in diverse cities like Tokyo, Singapore, New York City, and Houston, Texas, where I witnessed firsthand how culture, faith, and migration shape people’s emotional well-being. These experiences guide my work, helping clients feel understood, empowered, and supported in their healing journey.
I earned my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from SUNY Albany, graduating with distinction, and have worked extensively with immigrant communities, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, and adults from diverse backgrounds. I have also had the privilege of supervising graduate-level therapists from New York University, Columbia University, and Hunter College, City University of New York, mentoring them in trauma-informed and culturally competent practice. Over the years, I’ve guided clients through complex relational dynamics, cultural expectations, and challenges related to faith, spirituality, and identity, helping them build resilience and self-compassion.
I’m multilingual and speak English, Bengali, Urdu, and Hindi, which allows me to connect meaningfully with South Asian and immigrant clients. I also support clients in exploring faith, spirituality, or secular values, creating a safe space to discover what feels authentic and aligned with their beliefs. One of my favorite moments as a therapist is witnessing a client realize that they can honor their cultural or religious values while also prioritizing their emotional well-being—seeing them gain clarity and confidence in real time is incredibly rewarding.
My work is practical, action-oriented, and collaborative. I provide clients with tools, guidance, and insights that help them navigate challenges, manage distress, and build a life aligned with their values and goals.
